5 day countdown to the Diva's communion

What a busy week I have coming up  Between babysitting, taxing my kids to religion, boyscouts, girlscouts, and karate.... my in-laws and my mom are flying in from Florida to stay with us.   Little Lucy will be making her First Holy Communion this Saturday and we are having a party that night.  I feel like it's our last hoorah here in New York being Mr. Amazing will be retiring from his civil service job in 2 years and we plan on moving to Florida.

This communion party has been like planning a Sweet 16 or wedding!  (Love every minute of it)  Mr. Amazing thinks I am ridiculous because last night I was trying to figure out what song to play during Little Lucy's grand entrance and I want to make labels for the jars on the candy table.  I would love to make my candy table look like Amy Atlas tables.  He was like "Do we really need to have a grand entrance?"  It wasn't my idea...it was the Maitre D at the hall.  So I chose I Gotta Feeling by the Black Eyed Peas..the DJ will cut the song off after she enters the room and we will go right into Cha Cha Slide.  I just love planning parties and I specially love dancing.  Can't wait until Saturday night.

These are the additional things I need to do in addition to my regular to do list:
  1. Shampoo rugs (mom is allergic to dog dander)
  2. give dog a bath
  3. make candy bar wrappers for communion
  4. get dress and veil steamed
  5. make seating arrangements for party
  6. Order cake and balloons
  7. Shop for Mothers day gifts
  8. make lollipop tree for candy buffett table

Hey - sounds like something Super Mom can get done by 11:30am, huh? Kidding!!! Best of luck to what is a CRAZY BUSY week ahead of you! I was just telling my Mom today that I don't think I handle a busy life as well as I did 10 years ago! I'll be thinking of ya!
